The National Employment Council (NEC) for Medical and Allied Industry is a Statutory Board formed in accordance with the Labour Act (28:01) to govern the conditions of service of both employees and employers in the medical and allied fraternity.

Our Mandate
Creating a Just and Democratic Workplace
We are mandated with the responsibility of advancing social justice and democracy in the workplace by ensuring adherence to fair labour practice within industry. Here is what we are mandated:
- To assist in coming up with a CBA for the industry.
- To assist in avoiding and settling of industry labour disputes.
- To ensure compliance with Labour Statutes including the CBA.
- To train and educate employers and employees on labour issues.
- To allow relief in cases of operational challenges / exemptions.
